Rezulin
Millions of people with Type II diabetes took the prescription drug Rezulin in hopes that it would improve their health and quality of life. But the drug was withdrawn from the market in March 2000 after reports of liver failure among patients. The U.S. government linked at least 63 liver failure deaths to Rezulin, and many more suffered significant liver damage and other injuries as a result. Baron & Budd represented many individuals who have suffered serious liver disease as a result of their use of Rezulin, and the families of those who died of liver failure as a result of taking the drug.
