Biography
Mike Hanners, formerly of Dallas-based Silber Pearlman, is a skilled litigator who has devoted his legal career to representing workers injured by exposure to asbestos and other toxic substances. He focuses his practice on dealing with settlement and bankruptcy issues.
Before attending law school, Mike earned a degree in psychology from Johns Hopkins University. And during law school, he interned at the Texas Supreme Court. He followed this experience with work as a Briefing Attorney for the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals and then as a Staff Attorney for the Second District Court of Appeals in Fort Worth.
“I practice law because giving a voice to those who otherwise would not be heard ensures the continued existence of a responsible democracy, where laws, not wealth or socioeconomic status, provide as equal a playing field as may be had,“ Mike says. “I’m happy to be at Baron & Budd because this law firm demonstrates, on a daily basis and at a national level, its continued commitment to fight corporate greed and wrongdoing at the expense of less fortunate citizens.”
