Biography

Jeffrey O’Connell, formerly an attorney with Dallas-based law firm Silber Pearlman which consolidated with Baron & Budd in 2008, has spent his legal career in the service of asbestos victims—people suffering from diseases like malignant mesothelioma.  Jeff was outraged to find that asbestos manufacturers understood the health risks of asbestos exposure when they used asbestos in their products, knowingly exposing workers across the country to possible injury and death.

“I became a lawyer because I wanted to assist people who had been injured in getting through the complexities of the legal system and receiving the compensation—the justice really—that they deserve,” Jeff says.  “I’m delighted to be a part of the Baron & Budd team because the firm has a great reputation for helping people who really need a champion to stand up for them.”

When Jeff is not working on behalf of his clients, he enjoys reading and traveling, especially to someplace a little cooler than Texas.
